Downsizin' & Trailer Trashin'

As many of you know, we are in the process of selling our home. As we have no new home to move into, we plan to spend the next month(s) living in our 26' travel trailer. We have found a lovely park, just a few miles from our current home - with the shuffleboard courts just beyond our "yard"!

Today, we moved our new home, hereinafter called "the trailer", into its new yard. Of course, as always, nothing went as planned. Getting the trailer "squared" with the patio became a chore beyond comprehension! With that finally accomplished, we next attempted to unhook "the trailer" from the truck. Apparently, we somehow got part of the anti-sway mechanism turned around and stuck under the hitch - meaning that we could not get the truck separated from the trailer. Not a good situation!

Now, Jim & I are "newlyweds" (although not married!), however, the unspoken tension was quite high. Thank goodness we are still in that "not quite so openly hostile" stage!

Finally, got everything unhooked, leveled, chocked, etc. - now for some serious trailer rockin' - opps that'll have to wait till we finish packing all the stuff still in the house that must somehow be stuffed into either "the trailer" or the storage units. And where did I put that darned coffeepot?

Tonight, I guess I'll just have to dream of our new life as fulltimers!

Stay tuned as I blog our way thorough downsizing, selling two homes, and life in our "trailer".
